For the dogs that are currently in a high kill shelter there adoption fee is listed below. Female unaltered - $80.00 Male unaltered - $70.00 Altered - $35.00 You do receive a voucher to get the animal fixed which is included in the adoption fee. The shelter also offers heartworm testing for their animals for $15.00 and micro chipping for $30.00

Paige was turned in by animal control because her owner passed away! she has been with us since 10/24/08. She smiles everytime we talk to her! She is a wonderful wonderful girl! she really needs a new home! If you come visit her and she "shows her teeth" she is being nice we call it *smiling* she is NOT vicous!







Alesia was turned in by her owner through animal control because the owner was unable, physically to take care of her any longer.. she has been with us since 10/24/08. unknown about past history, and household behaviors. she needs a new home with lots of love.



Bella was brought to us a stray on 10/22/08, She is a very sweet girl, layed back. she is about 3-4 years old, We have no other information on her that this time. she will be updated on behavior changes! to Learn more about Bella please come visit her!



Molly was brought in by animal control on 10/28/08. She is good with other dogs, Housebroken, good with kids! about 8 years old! Already Spayed!very well taken care of, but no one called looking for her! she needs a new home!



Jess was turned in by her owner because they were moving and could not bring her with them, she is housebrokend and good with children!. she is in need of a new home!



Rhiny was brought to us a stray on 9/23/08. She was dirty and matted when she arrived. Our Volunteer shaved her down and bathed her! she is well behaved and does not use the bathroom in her crate. we do not have any other past history on Rhiny. Will be updated if we learn something new about her!



Pippi was brought to us a stray on 11/14/08. She was picked up on Chatham St. in Newport. She is about 1 year 5 months old. She is good with children and other dogs! she knows some basic commands also! this sweet, wonderful girl is in need of a new loving home!!!!! Since she is pitbull we do require a few things from the new adopter. if you are interesting in adopting Pippi please come to the shelter and pick up an application form! she is worth it!



Oliver was brought to us a stray on 11/6/08, he was picked up on Roberts Rd, by the Hess Station in Newport. He is full of energy! unknown about home behaviors or with kids.



Gibbs was turned in by a good samaritan. He had taken care of him for a little over a week, since the original owner moved out and left Gibbs in the back yard. He is good with Kids. about 1 1/2 years old. he is such a sweet boy!!! he is in need of a new home!



Joseph was turn in by his owner on 9/19/08, They were moving where they could not have dogs. He is 2 years old, good with children, Dogs, and Cats. He needs alot of room to get some energy out! he is not up to date on his shots or neutered. He was and inside/outside dog.... not quite all the way housetrained .Joseph is looking for new loving home!



Oscar was adopted from here then returned on 11/20/08. He needs to be walked on a leash because he likes to jump the fence!! he is good with other dogs, housebroken and up to date on all Vaccines, not neutered! he is in need of a new home!





Tootsie was picked up by animal control on 11/10/08. she was picked up on Hwy 24 newport. she is good with other dogs! this sweet girl needs some TLC! she will need to get some weight put on her cause obviously someone didn't take care of her the way she deserves!



Rory was picked up by animal control on 11/10/08. He was found on N. Red Maple Stella. He is good with other dogs. FULL of energy and does not use the bathroom on the inside of his run. he is in need of a new home!



Lucy was turned in by her owner on 11/11/08. She is housebroken, good with children and other dogs! she is 4 months old! Lucy is in need of a new home with lots of love!



Daisy was turned in by her owner on 11-19-08. the owner had her for 3 months and just could not take care of her. she is about 1 year old, unknown about home behaviors or with other dogs and children. she is a really sweet girl , full of energy who needs a new home!



Roxy was turned in by her owner on 11/11/08. they could no longer take care of her. she is about 8 months old, not spayed, up to date on all vaccines, housebroken, good with children and other dogs!!! she has 2 beautiful blue eyes! she is in need of a new forever home with lots of love for the rest of her life!





Nella Bean was brought to us a stray on 9/18/08. he was picked up at Pearsons circle swansboro. he is about 2 years old. UPDATE: Nella Bean has been neutered today!





This cute little girl was found under a house and taken care of for 6 weeks and then she was brought into us. She is still a young baby, about 7 or 8 weeks. She has been vaccinated and dewormed. UPDATE: 10/22/08 Tara has been spayed!





Molly was an owner turn in she is an adult . She is a very sweet and loving cat and wants a warm lap to snuggle up on. Update! 10-15-08 We were testing one of our dogs with cats.. Molly does NOT like dogs!



Cami was turned in because she did not like other cats in the house with her. She is about 2 years old, already spayed and very loving. We have no other information on her.



Dream as we call her was a stray brought into us. She is a sweet and loving young lady. As with all strays we have no past information on her. She is between 1 and 2 years old.



Naya was a stray trapped by animal control. She is an adult, however we have no past information on her and can not tell you much other than she is very sweet. UPDATE 10/1/08- Volunteer hours from Employee Has Gotten Naya Spayed today!





Talia was turned in by her owner, they could not keep her . They had found her under their house! she is very sweet! and how can you resist her adorable face!!!!? Our manager put in her volunteer time to get her spayed and rabies shot! She needs a new home!!
